Global Spatial Data Infrastructure, GSDI, GSDI. Initiative to establish better information about and access to geographic information worldwide. The initiative also concerns the establishment of national and regional SDI. Of special interest is the GSDI Cookbook that gives support and background for SDI establishment on different levels.


SDI AFRICA: AN IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE: compiled as a cooperative effort of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the Global Spatial Data infrastructure Association (GSDI) and EIS-Africa, with the collaboration of the International Institute for Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation (ITC) to assist African countries to improve the management of their geo-spatial data resources in a way that effectively supports decision-making by governments and ensures the participation of the entire society in the process.
