This term could be a bit confusing since it possible to interpret it as a single database, hosting all geographic information for Botswana. See also NSDI. SDI - Spatial Data Infrastructure. The system covering technical and institutional frameworks, standards and fundamental spatial data. NSDI – National Spatial Data Infrastructure. Compared to NGIS, this phrase is a better description of what is really being established within this initiative. It is a framework for connecting all users of GI to the producers (or data) through an efficient infrastructure.
